Aujourd\u2019hui, on passe la fronti\u00e8re. On part direction le poste d\u2019Abbostford, \u00e0 quelques dizaines de kilom\u00e8tres de Vancouver. On ne sait pas trop \u00e0 quoi s\u2019attendre, un peu de stress, et pourtant on en a pass\u00e9 des fronti\u00e8res !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De la fronti\u00e8re am\u00e9ricaine \u00e0 Yellowstone<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Arriv\u00e9s devant le poste, on nous pose une premi\u00e8re s\u00e9rie de questions sur notre situation et notre parcours aux US. Concr\u00e8tement, on a rien de pr\u00e9vu, mais on explique qu\u2019on veut faire les parcs nationaux de l\u2019ouest am\u00e9ricain. Le mec nous demande de nous garer et de rentrer dans le b\u00e2timent. \u00c0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, un second agent repose les m\u00eames questions. On r\u00e9pond pareil, mais il n\u2019a pas l\u2019air satisfait. Il nous demande de lui prouver qu\u2019on ne vient pas pour travailler ill\u00e9galement aux USA. Dans ma t\u00eate, je suis partag\u00e9 entre \u00ab&nbsp;comme si j\u2019avais envie\/besoin de venir travailler ill\u00e9galement dans ton pays&nbsp;\u00bb et \u00ab&nbsp;c\u2019est bien il joue bien son r\u00f4le d\u2019agent de l\u2019immigration am\u00e9ricain&nbsp;\u00bb. On joue le jeu, on balbutie deux trois justifications bancales, on montre nos comptes en banque bien garnis (c\u2019est faux) pour prouver qu\u2019on a les ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour ressortir du pays. Apr\u00e8s quelques minutes et une fouille du van, on obtient notre tampon d\u2019entr\u00e9e et on perd 6 \u0153ufs crus ! En repartant, on entendra son coll\u00e8gue se moquer gentiment de notre agent et r\u00e9p\u00e9tant ses dires : \u00ab&nbsp;<em>How can you prove that you won\u2019t stay to work in the US ? Nice one !<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fronti\u00e8re pass\u00e9e, on est dans l\u2019\u00e9tat de Washington ! On d\u00e9couvre le prix de l\u2019essence en dollars par gallons et les limites de vitesse en miles. L\u2019essence est moins ch\u00e8re (en moyenne 1$ le litre) et \u00e7a fait plaisir, surtout avec l\u2019euro qui se casse la gueule. On roule, on passe Seattle et on rentre dans les terres direction Yellowstone. Sur quelques jours, on fait les 1200 kilom\u00e8tres, en traversant les \u00e9tats de Washington, Idaho et Montana. Sur la route, on adopte les spots BLM (<em>Bureau of Land Management<\/em>) pour dormir. Des spots gratuits en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, en pleine nature, pas mal r\u00e9pandus dans l\u2019ouest am\u00e9ricain. On termine le livre audio de <em>l\u2019Ile Myst\u00e9rieuse<\/em> de Jules Verne. On peut maintenant voir quel pourcentage de batterie il nous reste, et on se rend compte qu\u2019on est vraiment large puisqu\u2019on ne descend jamais sous les 80%.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On arrive finalement \u00e0 West Yellowstone, petit village marquant l\u2019entr\u00e9e ouest (oui ils sont vraiment cr\u00e9atifs sur les noms) du parc national de Yellowstone. Petit tour au centre de visiteur pour pr\u00e9voir nos prochains jours et acheter un \u00ab&nbsp;interagency pass&nbsp;\u00bb, donnant acc\u00e8s \u00e0 tous les parcs nationaux pendant 1 an pour 80$ par voiture (ce sera vite rentabilis\u00e9 vu nos plans).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">#1 Mammoth Hot Springs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour ce premier jour, on se l\u00e8ve t\u00f4t ! Petit d\u00e9jeuner consistant saucisses, <em>beans<\/em> et \u0153ufs brouill\u00e9s, puis on rentre dans le parc vers 7h30 direction l\u2019extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 nord, <strong>Mammoth<\/strong>. Il fait froid, tout fume dehors : rivi\u00e8re, montagne, bisons\u2026 et c\u2019est magnifique. D\u2019ailleurs on voit ces buffalos partout en cette premi\u00e8re journ\u00e9e. Au programme aujourd\u2019hui, terrasses fumantes, bassins acides blancs aux reflets jaune, rouge, orange ou vert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 C\u2019est quoi <strong>Yellowstone<\/strong> ? Si on devait r\u00e9sumer, c\u2019est un giga volcan qui a fait trois mega \u00e9ruptions il y a quelques centaines de millions d\u2019ann\u00e9es. Apparemment il n\u2019y en aura plus, mais il se passe encore beaucoup de choses sous nos pieds. Un peu d\u2019activit\u00e9 sismique mais surtout beaucoup d\u2019activit\u00e9s g\u00e9o- et hydro-thermiques. Pour faire simple, en dessous c\u2019est chaud donc l\u2019eau remonte, sous forme liquide ou gazeuse. Comme c\u2019est de l\u2019eau, c\u2019est tout gentil, ou presque. Les couleurs sont superbes, mais gardons en t\u00eate que c\u2019est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement tr\u00e8s acide ou basique, de quoi te tuer rapidement si tu piques une t\u00eate dans ces bassins turquoises. Secteur de <strong>Norris<\/strong>, \u00e0 l\u2019est ! On dort toujours \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur du parc comme les campings \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur sont tous pleins ou ferm\u00e9s. Tiens, pour la petite histoire, en juin 2022, une \u00e9norme inondation a d\u00e9truit pas mal d\u2019installations du parc. La moiti\u00e9 des campings ne sont pas encore r\u00e9ouverts et l\u2019acc\u00e8s nord n\u2019existe plus, la route ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 emport\u00e9e. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><video controls src=\"http:\/\/cametvico.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/VID_20220925_0950300.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>On commence par aller voir des <em>Paints Pots<\/em>, un genre de bain de boue en \u00e9bullition. Le bruit est satisfaisant. <strong>Plop, plop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On se prom\u00e8ne sur des passerelles entre fumerolles et bassins. La v\u00e9g\u00e9tation est br\u00fbl\u00e9e par l\u2019eau qui remonte, ce qui fa\u00e7onne un paysage presque lunaire. En tout cas, on n\u2019a plus l\u2019impression d\u2019\u00eatre sur Terre. Direction le sud ouest, <strong><em>Old Faithful<\/em><\/strong>. Les pr\u00e9visions sont des fourchettes de deux heures qui se chevauchent pour ces derniers. On arrive donc au d\u00e9but de la fourchette et on attend\u2026 On attend plus longtemps que pr\u00e9vu et \u00e7a cr\u00e9e d\u2019autant plus de suspens. Au final, les deux heures \u00e0 patienter valent laaaaargement le coup ! Nous verrons les deux \u00e9ruptions (quelle chance), un v\u00e9ritable feu d\u2019artifice naturel, son et lumi\u00e8re ! Magnifique journ\u00e9e donc, <s>l\u2019anniversaire de Vico<\/s> les geysers ne nous ont pas d\u00e9\u00e7us. derni\u00e8re journ\u00e9e, direction la zone sud est, avec moins de lieux \u00e0 visiter mais occup\u00e9e par le gigantesque <strong>lac Yellowstone<\/strong>. Heureusement, on avait r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 r\u00e9server deux nuits dans un camping au sud du parc, pour \u00e9viter de faire l\u2019aller retour jusqu\u2019\u00e0 West Yellowstone \u00e0 150 kms de l\u00e0. Les trois derniers jours ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 intenses, cette journ\u00e9e sera plus tranquille.<br>On remonte la route \u00e0 l\u2019est pour aller voir le <strong><em>Mud Volcano<\/em><\/strong> (qui lui aussi porte bien son nom). Il pue vraiment beaucoup. Si finement nomm\u00e9 par nos anc\u00eatres fran\u00e7ais ayant colonis\u00e9 ces terres, le <strong>Grand T\u00e9ton<\/strong> fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 la forme de sommets de la cha\u00eene de montagnes du parc. Ils sont en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 trois t\u00e9tons : <em>Grand T\u00e9ton<\/em>, <em>Petit T\u00e9ton<\/em> et <em>South T\u00e9ton<\/em>. Je vous laisse trouver une ressemblance, mais quand m\u00eame, c\u2019est beau le fran\u00e7ais, et encore plus dans la bouche d\u2019am\u00e9ricains.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le petit point van!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Vous vous demandez s\u00fbrement comment va la <strong>courroie<\/strong>? Elle a bien couin\u00e9 sa m\u00e8re jusque Grand T\u00e9ton o\u00f9 le bruit a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9duire.<\/li><li>Nouveau bruit! Une sorte de <strong>craquement<\/strong> est apparu. On soup\u00e7onne qu\u2019il vient des suspensions avant gauche.<\/li><li>La grande victoire est l\u2019installation de la nouvelle <strong>batterie Lithium<\/strong> (qu\u2019on a achet\u00e9e en mai 2022\u2026) et de son moniteur.
